Alex attended Calvin University, graduating with a major in Kinesiology. After Calvin, he received his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University.

Alex was a three-sport athlete in high school and played collegiate basketball at Calvin. Throughout his time as an athlete, Alex encountered numerous injuries. Through rehabilitation, these injuries became stepping stones that led him to the field of physical therapy. With first-hand knowledge of the physical toll sports can take, Alex has devoted himself to helping others overcome injuries. He is passionate about empowering his patients both physically and mentally, helping them return to sports, work, or everyday activities. Alex has a special interest in working with athletes of all ages and the general orthopedic population assisting them in regaining their full potential.

When Alex is not working, you’ll most likely find him at the golf course, lifting weights, boating, spending time with friends and family, and, most importantly, watching football.

Alex’s business card states ” i’m renewing” because he is not only helping to restore the body but also aiming to ignite a renewed sense of hope and confidence within each person. Together, Alex hopes that as each patient navigates the path toward health, they understand that every effort and every session brings them one step closer to a renewed life.
