Kristen Marsman PT, DPT
i‘m inspired
Physical Therapist, Women’s Health Specialist
i’move-Cove, i’move-Holland
Kristen grew up in Holland, MI and is a graduate of Hope College where she played soccer and received her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science. She went on to receive her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University. Kristen has certification in pelvic health while also focusing on general orthopedics, sports medicine rehabilitation, and pediatric rehabilitation. She believes everyone deserves an equal chance to be heard and understood and gives patients the opportunity to share how their injuries are restricting them from achieving their daily activities and goals. Through learning her patient’s goals, Kristen hopes to incorporate activities that motivate them and relate to them personally to make therapy motivating and fun. In order to treat someone well, she believes in taking a full-body approach; not only treating the symptomatic area through therapy but treating the body as a whole to find the root of the issue.
Kristen enjoys all things sports and outdoors that West Michigan has to offer. She grew up playing a variety of sports and ultimately fell in love with the game of soccer. Today, Kristen loves to talk about great hiking spots in the area, all water sports, good food (preferably Mexican), card games, and her family.
The back of her business card says “i’m inspired.” Kristen strives to pursue a career where she can leave a positive impact and help patients feel better than when they first met. She hopes to feel inspired every day by her patients, what they have been through, and all they can overcome through therapy. Kristen also hopes to be an inspiration to her patients through encouragement, educating them about their diagnoses, and empowering them to take on life with fewer limitations.
