Mary Lomonaco-Harig, DScPT, COMT, OCS
Mary received her B.S. and Physical Therapy certificate from Northwestern University in 1979. She went on to earn a Masters degree in Health Sciences with an Anatomy emphasis from Grand Valley State University in 1995 and a DSc through Andrews University in 2014. She was certified by the ABPTS as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2004 and recertified in 2014. In 2010, she acquired her Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist (COMT) certification through the North American Institute of Manual Therapy.
Mary has 37 years of clinical experience. Her primary area of specialty is out-patient orthopedics and manual therapy. She continues clinical practice at i’move Physical Therapy in Spring Lake Michigan and is a long standing member of the APTA, an orthopedics section member, and MPTA. Her research and clinical interests include: scapular muscle tears, diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, and the cellular effects of an anti-inflammatory diet on health, wellness and prevention.
Her personal interests include Yoga, running, piano, reading, and cooking great Italian food (which she notes as one of the reasons she runs).
On the back of Mary’s business card is the statement, “I’m enriching”. This reflects her efforts to deepen her patient’s understanding, and empower them with knowledge and tools to not only heal, feel better and restore function, but to stay better and enrich their level of wellness for life.
