Physical Therapist
i’move-Whitehall, i’move-Spring Lake Fitness and Aquatic Center

Born in Kentucky, Mel has lived in Michigan most of her life. She graduated from Spring Lake High School and attended Concordia University Ann Arbor majoring in Pre-Med with a minor in Chemistry. While at CUAA, she also played basketball. Mel received her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Oakland University.

With almost 10 years of experience as a physical therapist, Mel loves working with patients of all ages, but especially those with orthopedic or sports injuries. She is a Mulligan Certified Practitioner and Certified in Dry Needling. She loves working hands-on with patients and assessing the full body in order to get people back to optimal functional levels. She wants patients to be able to move how they want to and works hard to help patients reach their goals.

Mel is a HUGE Michigan State fan. Go Green! When not in the clinic you can find Mel spending time outdoors and being active…. running, hiking, biking, kayaking, and traveling. She also has an affinity for sports, especially basketball. Mel is an assistant coach for the Spring Lake High School Girls Varsity Basketball team and plays the trumpet for the Coopersville Community Band and Scottville Clown Band.

Mel chose “i’m dedicated” as her i’m statement. With hard work and dedication, she believes that anything in life is possible. Stay dedicated, be persistent, dream big, have faith, and the sky is the limit. Forward is a pace.
