im strengthening

Physical Therapist, Women’s Health Specialist
i’move-Cove

Rachael grew up in Grand Rapids, where she graduated from Grandville High School. She then attended Hope College, in Holland, to study Exercise Science, where she also competed on the cross country and track teams. She went on to complete her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Grand Valley State University, where she again had the opportunity to run track. She currently lives in Walker, MI.

Aside from her passion for health and fitness, she was initially drawn to the field of physical therapy after a handful of injuries impacted her running career. Although she enjoys working with runners and athletes, she also specializes in treating pelvic pain and dysfunction. She especially enjoys combining these two interests and helping women of all ages return to athletic activity without fear of pain or urinary leakage. Rachael also appreciates physical therapy for its impact beyond recovery from athletic injuries. She is passionate about helping others understand and strengthen their bodies to prevent injury in the first place.

In her spare time, Rachael enjoys running, strength training, hiking, slalom skiing, and gathering around good food with her family.

Rachael chose “i’m strengthening” as her i’m statement because she believes that a big part of her calling as a physical therapist involves fostering strong relationships with her clients. She aims to help others grow into stronger versions of themselves so they can move freely and get back to doing what they love.
