Physical Therapist
i’move-Whitehall

Ryan earned both his Bachelor’s Degree in Clinical Exercise Science and his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University. Since beginning his career as a physical therapist in 2017, he has been passionate about helping people overcome injury, restore function, and get back to doing what they love.

Ryan’s path to physical therapy started long before graduate school. As a lifelong athlete, he spent plenty of time in physical therapy recovering from sports injuries and experienced firsthand the difference a great therapist can make. Those experiences inspired him to pursue a career where he could have that same positive impact on others. Before becoming a physical therapist, Ryan also proudly served in the U.S. Navy, bringing the discipline, dedication, and teamwork he developed during his military service into the care he provides today.

When he’s not in the clinic, Ryan is usually on a ball field coaching youth baseball or football in the Whitehall community. A former college baseball player, he enjoys sharing his love of sports with the next generation, especially his two sons, Cade and Bode. He also loves spending time with his wife, Amanda, relaxing at the beach, and hanging out with their dog, Odin.

Ryan chose i’m optimistic as his i’m statement because he believes a positive mindset can make all the difference during recovery. He encourages patients to focus on what’s possible and trust that consistent effort can lead to meaningful progress. Whether someone’s goal is returning to competition or simply enjoying everyday life with less pain, Ryan is committed to helping them move forward with confidence.
