Physical Therapist
i’move-Cove
A Michigan native, Scott earned both his Bachelor of Science in Clinical Exercise Science and his Doctor of Physical Therapy from Grand Valley State University, where he also competed in cross country and track & field. Those experiences, along with more than a decade as a physical therapist, inspired a career dedicated to helping runners of every age and ability reach their goals.
Over the past 11 years, Scott has become a recognized expert in running rehabilitation and performance. Most recently, he spent more than seven years in Utah as a running specialist physical therapist with Intermountain Health, serving as the lead physical therapist for the Run Elite Program. He has cared for Olympians, professional distance runners, NCAA champions, and Team USA athletes, while also working with BYU’s nationally acclaimed cross country and track & field teams. Scott has proudly served on the medical staff for Team USA Track & Field, including the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, U.S. Olympic Team Trials, and multiple USA Track & Field National Championships.
While Scott has worked with some of the world’s best runners, his greatest passion is helping runners and active individuals at every level achieve their own personal victories. Whether you’re training for your first 5K, preparing for a marathon, returning after an injury, or simply looking to run with less pain, Scott believes everyone deserves the same individualized, evidence-based care as an elite competitor. His areas of expertise include running gait analysis, return-to-running programs, performance rehabilitation, trigger point dry needling, and strength training designed to improve efficiency, prevent injury, and keep people doing what they love.
Scott continues to compete as an avid runner himself, with a marathon personal best of 2:31. His firsthand experience with the physical and mental demands of training gives him a unique perspective on the challenges runners face and allows him to connect with patients on a deeper level.
Scott and his wife, Ali, are excited to return home to West Michigan with their two children. As a family, they enjoy running, mountain biking, skiing, snowboarding, hiking, camping, and spending time anywhere they can be outdoors—especially near the water.
