Physical Therapist, Pilates Instructor
Stacy’s fascination for how the body works and her passion for healthy living is what initially drew her to pursue a career in physical therapy. After graduating from Andrews University with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2006, she worked mainly in outpatient settings and enjoyed treating a variety of orthopedic and neurological populations. After a few years, she began to realize that many people (including her patients!) had questions about how to improve their health in a way that was sustainable, and they were often coming to her for direction.
Seeing a need, Stacy became a certified holistic health coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and created workshops as well as online programs to help support people in their goals for a sustainable, healthy lifestyle. Most recently, she completed multiple levels of training in Pilates through Balanced Body and uses pilates principles to build rehab programs, train private clients, and lead group classes at the Rockford clinic.
One of Stacy’s favorite quotes is by Joseph H. Pilates: “Change happens through movement and movement heals.” The back of her business card reads “I’m changing” because she desires to help people change their quality of life through safe movement and sustainable habits. She believes that any movement in the right direction has the potential to transform lives.
